All OH&S Consulting training is performed face to face at your premises or a Training Venue can be arranged (at an additional fee).
Course Intention:
This course is intended for all personnel from office workers to trades personnel. This course can be run as an awareness raising session in a toolbox meeting scenario through a ½ day course covering specific electrical safety issues. This course can also be run as a refresher session for personnel to revisit electrical hazards in order to gain a healthy
respect of working with electricity.
All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
Learning Objectives & Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:

Develop a healthy appreciation of the hazards associated with electricity.

Discuss safe work practices when working with electricity.

Recall instrument and maintenance checks for portable electrical devices.

Causes of electrical incidents.

Prevention of electrical shock.

Tool and equipment safety.

Safe Work Practices for electrically powered tools and equipment.

Tagging of faulty equipment.

Legislative requirements for testing and tagging, inspection, record keeping and use of Residual Current Devices.

Reporting of electrical incidents and injuries.
