Chemical Safety Awareness
Course Duration:
2 - 8 hours depending on individual company use & type of chemicals on site.
Course Location:
All OH&S Consulting training is performed face to face at your premises or a Training Venue can be arranged (at an additional fee).
Course Intention:
This course is intended to assist all personnel in the organisation of the safe management of chemicals and hazardous substances. The Chemical safety course is developed in
accordance with the client’s operational needs.
All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
Learning Objectives & Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:

Identify how chemicals affect the body and the routes of exposure.

Identify and define the difference between Hazardous Substances and Dangerous Goods.

Understand the appropriate use, storage and safe handling of hazardous substances/chemicals.

Explain the purpose and contents of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Identify and select appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment for the job task at hand.

Recall and execute basic first aid principles for chemical exposure.
