All OH&S Consulting training is performed face to face at your premises or a Training Venue can be arranged (at an additional fee).
Course Intention:
This course is intended for personnel who are at risk of skin exposure in the work environment. This course would be developed according to the needs of the organisation, taking into consideration the type of hazards workers are exposed to.
All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
Learning Objectives & Outcomes:

Understand the importance of skin care.

Identify the types of hazards that can affect the integrity of the skin.

Execute control measures that protect the skin from hazards.

Perform first aid measures for common skin conditions.
Course Contents:

Skin Health and Prevention of Skin Damage.

Causes of Skin Damage: Chemical, Mechanical, Physical (includes UV Radiation), Biological.

Safe Work Practices: (ie Material Safety Data Sheets, Sun smart, Standard Operating Procedures/Protocols; Good Hygiene practices).

Personal Protective Equipment: (ie barrier creams, gloves, full length clothing, hats, sunscreen).

Prevention of Skin Disorders: Regular Medical Checks.

First Aid for Skin Damages.

When to Seek Medical Attention When Skin Damages Occur.
